Economic Research Institute, Peking University
The Economic Research Institute of Peking University advocates a confluence of the research of economic theories and that of the current Chinese economic issues. The mission of the institute is to enrich and develop the economic theory through the study of real-life issues, and serve economics education in the meantime.
Institute of International Economic Research, Peking University
The Institute of International Economic Research of Peking University focuses on the research of world economy and the related issues of Chinese opening policy. Fellows of the institute have published a batch of books and over one hundred academic papers or reports since its establishment.
Research Center for Foreign Economic Thoughts, Peking University (RCFET)
The mission of the Research Center for Foreign Economic Thought of Peking University (RCFET) is to conduct research on the origin, development, and evolution of foreign economic thoughts, as well as the related issues of contemporary economics theory.
Research Center for Market Economy, Peking University
The mission of the Research Center for Market Economy of Peking University is to conduct research on the macro-level of major issues in Chinese market economy development, and to provide consulting services to the government and enterprises.
China Center for Financial Research
Based on the Finance Department of School of Economics of Peking University, the China Center for Financial Research have established long-term cooperation relationships with famous foreign financial institutes to contribute to the development of China’s financial industry, as well as the research and teaching of financial theory.
China Credit Research Center (CCRC)
China Credit Research Center (CCRC) is the first research unit focusing on the economic credit issues in China. The mission of the center is to conduct comprehensive credit research and to study various theoretical and practical issues of establishing a credit system to meet the demand of the development of Chinese market economy.
China Center for National Accounting and Economic Growth
The mission of the China Center for National Accounting and Economic Growth is to refine China’s national income accounting system through the study of national accounting methods and measures, and to coordinate China’s accounting system with the general analysis method of the world economy.
Center for China Insurance and Social Security Research (CCISSR)
CCISSR aims to set up a platform for information exchange among government, industry, and academia to promote theoretical research and knowledge innovation. The CCISSR coordinates and sponsors the annual ‘PKU CCISSR Forum’, the weekly newspaper column ‘PKU Insurance Review’, the ‘PKU CCISSR Biweekly Seminar’, the book ‘Review and Analysis on Hot Issues of China Insurance Market’, the ‘PKU CCISSR-Aviva Insurance Research Series’, and so on. The CCISSR was honored as one of top 10% among more than 200 research institutes from 2006-2009, and gained honorable title of ‘The Excellent Humanities and Social Sciences Research Institute of Peking University’.
Institute of Project Management Research, Peking University
The Institute of Project Management Research of Peking University focuses on the latest development of modern project management theories and conducts research that aims at solving actual Chinese project management issues. It provides a platform for the decision makers and practitioners of Chinese project management to exchange ideas and share information.
Metropolitan Economic Research Institute of China
The Metropolitan Economic Research Institute of China focuses on the core issues of metropolis and the associated regional economic advantage, competitiveness, and development strategy, and conducts research on development strategies and patterns of metropolitan economy, especially the related issues of the economic development of Beijing.

The mission of The Center for Human and Economic Development Studies, Peking University (CHEDS, PKU) is to promote human development research and practice and, ultimately, to help achieve the goal of “People-Centered” development in China, with a special concern for the most vulnerable.
China Center for Public Finance, Peking University(CCPF)
China Center for Public Finance, Peking University follows the university’s tradition of academic freedom and innovative thinking. The CCPF concentrates on basic and applied research in modern public economics, promotes China’s public finance reforms and sustainable economic development, and serves as a platform for scholars inside and outside China to exchange views and to establish cooperation.
Center for National Resource Economic Studies (CNRES)
CNRES is a think tank carries out the academic and applied research related to resource, environment and energy. CNRES offers policy references and advice for Chinese government and enterprises. The future development of CNRES will focus the following aspects: high quality post-doc research platform; policy research for the government; environmental and resource index development and policy analysis; academic exchange and forum will be held regularly for knowledge exchange and cooperation.
