From Sep.1 to Sep.3, the 2016 CEA Europe/UK Annual Conference and the second One Belt and One Road China-European Cooperation International Forum was held in Duisberg, Germany. Associate Professor Qin Xuezheng, Assistant Dean of SEPKU, was invited to attend the forum.
Prof. Qin made a report entitled “Is the Pro-Competition Policy an Effective Solution for China’s Public Hospital Reform?” on the sub-forum Public Economics. He introduced the path and development bottleneck of China’s public hospitals reform, and analyzed the influences the competition encourage policies may have on public hospital performance.
The conference was co-sponsored by CEA Europe/UK, Confucius Institute Metropolis Ruhr and IN-EAST School of Advanced Studies, and organized by University of Duisburg-Essen. More than 130 scholars from Oxford University, Columbia University, Free University of Berlin, the University of Tokyo and other institutions, including Prof. Lin Yifu, Prof. Bai Chongen, Prof. Fabrizio Zilibotti, Prof. Guido Tabellini, Prof. Susan Shirk and other international well-known scholars, attended the meeting.
