On November 8, the "Development and Regulation of the Asian Insurance Market" seminar was held in SEPKU. More than 30 guests from SEPKU, CIRC, Insurance Regulatory Agencies of Laos, Thailand, Singapore, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, the Philippines and Hong Kong, China and other Asian countries and regions attended. The seminar was chaired by Jia Ruo, Assistant Professor of Risk Management and Insurance.

First of all, Prof. Sun Qixiang, Dean of SEPKU delivered a welcoming speech. She welcomed the representatives of insurance regulators from various Asian countries and regions, introduced SEPKU, and hoped that they would have a pleasant exchange experience here. Afterwards, Prof. Zheng Wei, Director of the Department of Risk Management and Insurance, gave an overview of China`s economic and insurance market, and introduced the basic situation of China’s economic and insurance market development from three aspects, which are Chinese economic development indicators, comparison of economic development between China and the world, development of China’s insurance market.

During the seminar, the participants discussed on the topic of "Development and Regulation of Asian Insurance Market" hotly. Representatives of each country introduced their own policies on insurance market development and supervision, and swap ideas.
