The book Finding the Way out for the Chinese Economy, written by Wei Liu and Jian Su, has been published by international publishing group McGraw Hill Education.

This book is re-edited and revised from Finding the Way out for the Chinese Economy (Renmin University of China Press, 2016). Compared with the Chinese version, the new edition added new sections and revised the most of the chapters while some of the content was largely compressed. The publication of the new book has a significant meaning as it could be regarded as a new one.

Professor Wei Liu was the Dean of School of Economics in Peking University and Vice President of Peking University, current President of Renmin University of China, PhD supervisor, Chang Jiang Scholar and member of the national committee of CPPCC. His research field includes Economic Development, Economic Transition and Political Economy for Socialism. Jian Su is Professor in School of Economics in Peking University and PhD supervisor. His main research arears are Macroeconomics and Chinese Economy.
This book is a reflection of achievement made by Liu, Su and other scholars. It relates to new circumstance, new issue and new contradiction under the new economic normality in China. The book comprises of 18 chapters which are divided into six parts. The first part discusses the roots of new Economic normality and macroeconomic regulation in new economic normality. The second part discusses the development of economic in China and suggests that the reform in an all-round way is the basis for prosperous development in Chinese economy. It discusses the population situation of China and its impact on long-term economic situation as well as the necessity of reform in population policy. In third chapter, they discusses the significance of supply-side reform in economy and how to carry out the supply-side reform. The discussion in fifth chapter focus on real estate market especial in secular trend in China’s real estate market and its’ determinants, the bubble of real estate price in China, the urbanization, spatial distribution and differentiation in Chinese real estate market. It is followed by the discussion of stock market in China in fifth chapter, which discusses the secular trend in Chinese capital market and the reason for stock market crash in 2015. The topic of sixth part is the exchange rate of RMB. It discusses the determinants of exchange rate of RMB, the medium and long term trend in exchange rate and the reason for short term exchange rate fluctuation.
The Korean version of the book was published in 2017 and there will be a continuing publication of Japanese version, Russian version and Hindi version.
