The 44th European Group Risk and Insurance Economist (EGRIE) annual meeting was held in London from September 18 to 20, 2017. Assistant Professor Yao Yi from the Department of Risk Management and Insurance of SEPKU was invited to attend the meeting and present the paper “Improving the sustainability of small health risks: the use of risk adjustment subsidies for obstetric services”, which is collaborated with Shi Ju and Joan Schmit. At the same time Yao was invited to serve as the academic commenter of the risk theoretical sub-forum.

The European Group Risk and Insurance Economist Annual Conference, which includes scholars from Europe, North America, Australia and Asia, is an important international conference on risk management and insurance organized by the Geneva Association. During the meeting, the participants conducted extensive exchanges and in-depth discussions on risk theory and empirical research.
