From Jan 3 to Jan 5, Dean Sun Qixiang was invited to attend the American Economic Association (AEA) Annual Meeting, which was held in San Francisco, USA. During the session, Professor Sun attended SEPKU alumni association with more than 40 alumni graduated in SEPKU.

Dean Sun made an opening address and fully affirmed the alumni’s work performance and academic achievements. She also encouraged alumni go back alma mater from time to time and continue to support the development of the school. Dr Chen Zhiwu, distinguished professor of SEPKU, introduced achievements in quantitative economic history of SEPKU. Dr Guo Jing, Economics in American Institute for Research, expressed the desire to set up the North America Alumni Groups.

Associate Professor Qin Xuezheng, Assistant Dean of SEPKU, chaired the alumna association. Dr Anthony Howell, assistant professor of the Department of International Economy and Trade, Dr Wu Zenan, assistant professor of the Department of Economics, also took part in the event.
