SEPKU Held the 5th National Wealth Forum

On December 6, the 5th National Wealth Forum was held in SEPKU. The theme of forum is “Idea, Strategy and Path: 13th Five-year Plan and China’s Economic Future”. Mr. Long Yongtu, Mr. Li Yang, Mr. Jia Kang, Barrister Liang Dingbang and Professor Wang Yuesheng participated the forum as guests. Professor Zhang Zheng, Vice Dean of SEPKU, hosted the forum.

 

Dean Sun Qixiang made an opening address in which she expressed her heartfelt thanks to the delegates and expounded the challenges and opportunities faced in China’s transformation. She pointed out that with the strengthening of the unstable factors, the international environment is becoming extremely complex. Simultaneously, the imbalance of economic development, rising industrial cost, insufficient innovation power and environment constraints are more and more highlighted. Given the environment, it is an important proposition which should be explored by the academics and policymakers that how to built benefit a well-off society in an all-round way in 2020.

 

Mr. Long Yongtu made a keynote speech named “China’s economy from an opening perspective”. He recalled the process of reform and opening up, summarized the significance of the open economy to China`s economic development, and evaluated the value of “One Belt One Road” in a unique vision.

 

Mr. Li Yang addressed a speech “Lower leverage, based on the analysis of national balance sheet”.  According to his research, he showed the development and trends of the asset-liability ratio of government, companies and residents, and he gave an in-depth analysis to China’s leverage.

 

Professor Wang Yuesheng delivered his speech “One Belt And One Road initiative and China’s idea of international economic cooperation in the 21st century”. He noted in the speech that the key point of the “One Belt And One Road” strategy is to participate in global economic governance and public products supply actively.

 

Under the background that the government launched the "supply side" reform strategy, Mr. Jia Kang made a report themed "improve the environment and mechanism of the supply side, stimulate economic vitality, create a new momentum of development".

 

Mr. Liang Dingbang, former chief adviser of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, published a report titled “the future direction for the reform of China’s financial regulatory system”. He proposed laws should keep pace with the times, and establish financial system security agency.

 

Finally, Professor Zhang Zheng expressed his heartfelt thanks to all the fantastic reports made by the guests, and all the participants, staff, and the media. The 5th National Wealth Forum came to a successful close.
