On July 13, the 2015 graduation ceremony of the School of Economics Peking University was held. Dean Sun Qixiang, Vice Dean Zhang Zheng, department directors, academic degree committee members, alumni representatives, faculties and graduates attended the ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Prof. Wang Shuguang, Vice Dean of SEPKU.

 

At the beginning of the ceremony, Professor Wang introduced the general information of 2015 graduates. At the same time, Professor Wang especially paid tribute to those who joined in the development of western China, the most undeveloped region.

 

Dean Sun Qixiang delivered a speech to the graduates. She first recalled the students’ at the university, expressed warm congratulations to the students and parents and sincere thanks to the hard work of college teachers. Dean Sun wished the students to be "happy winners" in the future life.

 

Prof. Zhang Zheng expressed his expectation that all the graduates should start from scratch, be themselves, and take a correct value orientation of advantages.

 

Prof. Ping Xinqiao, Chairman of SEPKU academic committee and Prof. Liu Yi, Director of Public Finance Department made statements on behalf of faculties. Sun Taoran, 1987 alumnus of SEPKU and founder of LaKara Group, and Lu Lei, 1989 alumnus of SEPKU and Director of People`s Bank of China Research Bureau, delivered speeches respectively.

 

The graduation ceremony ended in the "Ode to the Motherland" song. After the ceremony, all graduates took a group picture, and held a red-carpet ceremony and reception.
