The “2020 Summer Camp for Excellent College Students” held by School of Economics at Peking University ended on the afternoon of July 10th, 2020 when the final summer camp member exited from the online long-distance interview room. More than 1300 students from more than 140 colleges and universities in 28 provinces, cities, and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region submitted their applications for this year’s summer camp. And about 240 students participated in the summer camp after the initial separation done by experts. 

　　To well implement epidemic prevention and control measures, activities of this year’s summer camp were done online. 　

　　On the afternoon of June 30th, 2020, the online opening ceremony was held in School of Economics at Peking University. On the opening speech, Professor Dong Zhiyong, the dean of School of Economics, expressed warm welcome and congratulations to students attending the summer camp, and encouraged them to “be a thinker and reflect grand issues”. Professor Suo Lingyan, the vice-dean of School of Economics, shared information about professional master programs of School of Economics, training plans for bachelor-straight-to-doctorate programme, academic development and employment status with students. 

　　During June 1st and June 10th, 2020, various assessment activities were done online successively. Members have done periodic review about their study and life in the past three years with brand-new ways. 

　　The annual Summer Camp for Excellent College Student held by School of Economics at Peking University aims to promote interchange of ideas between outstanding students in China, and enhance young students’ understanding on subject study. The Summer Camp for Excellent College Students gathers talents from colleges and universities, and offers a brand-new platform for young students to do academic exchange and to learn School of Economics at Peking University.
