姬强,现任中国科学院科技战略咨询研究院学部学科研究支撑中心执行主任、研究员,国家优秀青年基金获得者,国家社科基金重大项目首席专家。长期从事能源战略管理、能源与气候金融、能源预测与风险管理等领域的研究工作,发表SCI/SSCI论文150余篇。担任中国能源金融联盟发起人、国际能源转型研究学会副理事长、中国优选法统筹法与经济数学研究会气候金融研究分会副理事长等职务。担任国际期刊Journal of Climate Finance创刊主编,国际SSCI期刊Energy Economics、International Review of Financial Analysis、Energy Policy等10余份国际一流SSCI期刊的高级主编、副主编以及编委。连续多年入选科睿唯安全球高被引学者和全球前2%顶尖科学家榜单。

报告将从气候金融的发展入手,介绍气候变化对金融风险监管的意义和重要性,展示全球气候风险集成数据库,分析多源气候风险冲击对股票市场、债券市场、大宗商品市场等多种大类资产的信息传染和风险溢出效应。

Naijia Guo is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Finance from Peking University. Prior to joining HKU, Naijia worked at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her research interests focus primarily on labor economics and family economics, with an emphasis on structural labor. Naijia's research encompasses a broad array of topics, including education, migration, unemployment, and intra-household decision-making. She has published her work in leading academic journals, such as the International Economic Review, the Economic Journal, Quantitative Economics, the Journal of Human Resources, and the Journal of Comparative Economics. Additionally, Naijia serves as the associate editor of the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization.

This study examines the factors contributing to the wage gap between migrants and natives, as well as the influence of internal mobility constraints on this gap. Using matched employer-employee panel data from a Chinese metropolis, we estimate a two-way fixed effect wage model and decompose the wage gap into differences in skills, wage setting, and sorting between migrants and natives. The decomposition analysis reveals that, despite migrants having higher skills than natives, they earn lower wages within the same employer and are less likely to be employed by companies offering high wage premiums. These two factors account for a 10 percentage-point wage penalty for migrants with comparative skills. Additionally, we investigate the impact of a policy change that restricted the "hukou" (household registration) quota to understand the mechanisms underlying the firm-specific pay premiums for natives. Following a one-third reduction in hukou quotas, wages of migrants increased relative to those of native workers, particularly in the private sector where significant quota reductions occurred, and among young and high-skilled migrants who have a higher demand for hukou. This effect is mainly driven by an increase in the wage premium paid by employers due to the unavailability of hukou. However, the tightening of the hukou quota exacerbates the misallocation of workers, making high-ability migrants more likely to work in low-productivity public sectors.

摘要:
We study the implication of migration barriers on labor misallocation by using China's hukou reform in the 2000s, which reduces barriers to moving by granting local urban residency rights to rural migrant workers. We show that the reform increased employment by 26.0%, revenues by 4.1%, capital by 11.8%, and decreased marginal revenue products of labor by 23.8% for previously more labor-constrained firms compared to others. This suggests a more concentrated distribution of marginal products and reduced misallocation. Geographically, the gains in allocative efficiency are attenuated in areas facing stiff competition from “early reform adopters” and are enhanced in regions with weaker pre-reform networks of migration. We find also various firm heterogeneity that reveals winners of labor deregulation. At the aggregate level, the hukou reform led to a 4.6% increase in aggregate productivity and a 14.6% surge in manufacturing output.
